Hi, my name is Jani Turkia and I have been a member of the Arkansas
Schutzhund Club for almost two decades. I started learning helper work
shortly after discovering Schutzhund over 20 years ago. I have worked
many Mid-West KG Regional Championships and this is my fourth LV
Championship. I have titled dogs to IPO3 and FH2 and prepared many
dogs for police and SAR work. I would like to thank everyone who have helped me grow as a helper and a trainer.
For the past four years I have served as the Mid-West KG OFG and
developed, certified and upgraded numerous helpers for trial work. I have
also earned my DVG Judge's license.
Mark Pellon Bio:
I'm an energetic helper who currently lives in San Diego, California. My current helper Classifications are Class 1 helper for DVG, Regional Level helper for USCA, National level helper and Teaching helper for the GSDCA. I have been doing helper work for 11 years now and was initially mentored and trained by Fred Samseer and Carla van Duijvenbode of the Netherlands. In recent years, I have been mentored by Steve House on Trial helper technique, mental preparation for Championship events, and Teaching helper methods. I want to thank Ruffdog sports for helping me so much on my journey as well as a big thank you to Ted Hartmen for the opportunity and for being so accomodating during my certification process with my military schedule.
My name is Marcus Hampton and I was born and raised in Buffalo N.Y. Through my years growing up I played football and boxed and of course always had a passion for dogs. I started Schutzhund in the year 2000 when I met my mentor and good friend Owen Tober at the Schutzhund club of Buffalo where I was a member and did helper work but now have my own working dog group and am looking to start my own club in the future. When I am not busy doing helper work and training with my own Schutzhund group, I am spending time training my young boy Viking in IPO. I am a National level helper , and since 2000 I have done many club trials and many big events doing Sch and IPO I, IPO II and IPO III dogs as well as a police DPO trial and helper seminars.
I would like to take the time out to thank all the people that supported me throught the years such as my mentor and great friend Owen Tover founder of Schutzhund Club of Buffalo, my family and everyone who has been there for me. Also than yo DVG and committee for choosing me to be the back half helper in the years's National event.
